Sayyidunaa Abu Hurairah Radhiyallaahu ‘Anhu narrates that Nabi Sallallaahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam has mentioned: “The one who sends Durood upon me in writing (i.e., he writes the Durood), the Malaa’ikah will continuously seek forgiveness on his behalf for as long as my name (Durood) is written on that paper/ book.”

The ‘Ulama advised to recite Durood Shareef/  Salawaat 100 times when cooking, and  blow on the food. The ‘Ulama used to say that, by the Barkat of this action, your children will become Huffadh, Qurra, ‘Ulama, Atqiyaa and Asfiyaa.
