THE LAND OF MADEENA

نظر ڈھونڈتی ہے دیار مدینہ                ہیں دل اور جاں بے قرار مدینہ

Nazar dhoondti he diyaare Madeena, He dil aur jaan be qaraare Madeena.

My gazes seek the land of Madeena, My heart and soul are restless for seeing Madeena.

وہ دیکھو احد پر شجاعت کا منظر                شہیدوں کے خون شہادت کا منظر

Wo dekho Uhud par shujaa-at ka manzar, Shaheedo ke khoon shahaadat ka manzar.

Look yonder towards Uhud at the sight of bravery,You will see the sight of the blood of the martyrs.

وہ ہے سامنے سبز گنبد کا منظر               اسی میں تو آرام فرما ہیں سرور

Wo he saamne sabz gumbad ka manzar, Iseeme to araam farmaa hen sarwar

Ahead of you see the green dome,There is where the master is resting.

ابو بکر وفاروق وعثمان وحیدر                یہیں تھے یہ پروانے شمع انور

Abu Bakro Farooqo, Uthmaano, Haidar, yahee then ye parwaane sham-e-anwar.

Abu-Bakr (RA), Umar (RA), Uthmaan(RA) and Ali (RA) were the ones who were moths fluttering around a bright lamp (Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).

یہیں سے تو اسلام پھیلا جہاں میں           مدینہ کا شہرہے ہفت آسمان میں

Yahee se to Islaam phela jahaan me, Madeena ka sheher he haft aasmaa(n) me(n)

From here Islam had spread throughout the world, the city of Madina is in the seven heavens.

نشان نبی ہے یہ مسجد قبا کی                  ہے قندیل طیبہ نبی کی ضیاء کی

Nishaane Nabi he ye masjid Quba kee, He qindeel e taibaa Nabi kee ziyaa kee.

Masjid-e-Quba is the symbol of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, the lantern of Madinah is the illumination of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

مدینہ کے دیوار در دیکھتے ہیں                عجب حال قلب وجکر دیکھتے ہیں

Madeena ke deewaar e dar dekhtehe(n),  Ajab hale qalbo jigar dekhtehe(n).

We see the walls and doors of Madeena, Strange is the condition of the heart and liver (this fills our hearts with love and ecstasy.)

یہ مسکن ہے شاہ مدینہ کا اختر             فلک بوسہ زن ہے یہاں کی زمیں پر          

 Ye maskan he shaahe Madeena ka Akhtar, Falak bosa zan he yahaa(n) kee zamee(n) par.

This is the residence of the king of Madeena, O’ Akhtar Even the heavens are engaged in kissing the land of Madeena.
