جام ، مینا میں ہے فراوانی

Jaamo meena me he faraawaanie

There is an abundance of the jug and goblets of the wine of the love of Allah c

The goblets and jugs of wine of the love of Allah c are present for us to drink and become intoxicated. There isn’t any enjoyment greater than the love of Allah c.

جس پے ہوتا ہے فضل رحمانی

Jis pe hota he fadhle Rahmaani

Upon whom the grace and mercy of Allah c is showered

We generally think that Allah c is showering his mercy upon us if our businesses are running well. Some people that are involved in sin think Allah c is showering His mercy upon them as their life is running so smoothly in spite of their sinning. This is like a mirage which is termed as “Istidraaj”. (The sinner is being given respite.) Many people are fooled by this thought.

ترک کرتا ہے کار شیطانی

Tark karta he kaar-e-Shaytaani

He abandons the works of Shaytaan

This is the true sign which indicates that the special Fadhl of Allah c is upon a person. If a person was unable to control his gazes, or he was weak in his Salaah, or he used to quarrel with the wife and then gave it up, this is the sign of Allah’s mercy showering upon him.

دوستو ں درد دل کی دولت کو دل میں پاتے ہے صرف  ربانی

Dowsto darde dil ki dolat ko dil me paate he sirf rabbanie

O friends, the treasure of the love of Allah c is only found in the heart by the Allah Wala

This can only be felt if one gives up sin. If one enjoys the closeness of Allah c whilst sinning then he should realise that it is deception. If it is enjoyed after giving up sins then it is a sign of a true Rabbani.

حامل درد  اھل نسبت کو

Haamile dard ahle nisbat ko

Those that carry the connection of the love of Allah c

 

خلق کہتی ہے  دل سے یزدانی

Khalq kehti he dil se yazdaani

The creation says from their hearts that this is a true lover of Allah

When one is a true lover of Allah c then Allah c puts this into the heart of the creation. Zubane khalq ko naqqaaraa-e-khuda samjo, (regard the tongues of the creation to be the sound of the drum beat of Allah c). When a person beats the drum then he gets a sound according to his beating. Similarly, the creation utters those things which Allah c places into the heart. It is not neceassry to be a great Alim or Hafez or connected to a pious family. Whoever acquires the love of Allah c then Allah c puts it into the hearts of people. There are incidents of great Buzurgs that were far from Deen yet Allah c had changed their lives. We should also attempt to acquire this love of Allah c.

شیخ کامل سے جو ہے مستغنی

Sheikh-e-Kamil se jo he mustaghnee

Those that are independent from a Sheikh-e-Kaamil

These are those who feel that they can do things themselves without the assistance of a Sheikh. A lady has written that she wants to reform and change. How many men, women, boys, girls, have written the same. This particular lady had written that she was brought up in western education and she has realised that there isn’t any real benefit in western education. These people have also realised that they require a guide in their lives. The norm is that those that have acquired western education feel that they do not require a guide.

Our Sheikh r used to say that when Allah c intends to draw someone to him then He connects them to some friend of Allah. This is the first stage and will finally be connected to Allah c. A person will realise that he is unable to tread this path alone. A poem says,

تنھا نہ چل سکوگے محبت کی راہ میں

میں چل رہا ہوں آپ میرے ساتھ  آئے

Tanha ne chal sakoge muhabbat ke rah me

Me chal raha hoo, Aap mere saat aai

You will not be able to walk alone in the path of love

I am walking the path, you walk with me

If a person undertakes a journey to a foreign country, he does not know the criminals, dangers, etc. in that country. If a particular person has come to fetch you and take you along then there isn’t any need to worry in regards to one’s safety. This guide will make you comfortable by making you sit in the car and you will reach your destination. In a similar manner, you should join with a Allah Wala and reach your destination.

پاِِئیگا کیسے ظل رحمانی

Paayega kayse zille Rahmaani

Those that stay far from a Sheikh, how will they get the shade (mercy) of Allah c?

The system of Allah c is that He grants knowledge of Deen via the Asaatizah (the teachers). A person will not be able to acquire it on his own. Similarly a person cannot acquire the path leading to Allah c on his own. The system of Allah c is that you will have to follow his friend for this path.  The friends of Allah c play such a vital role that when a Jannati enters Jannat then too Allah c will say, “Enter amongst my servants, enter my Jannat.” This verse clearly indicates that one will always require the special servants of Allah c in this world and in the hereafter. We also learn from here that one should thank them in the world as one will thank them in the hereafter before entering Jannat. When a person thanks them then he will move much faster towards Allah c.

فسق کرتا ہے دور منزل سے

Fisq karta he dour manzil se

Sins furthers one away from his abode

If a pilot is flying his plane from O.R. Tambo to Jeddah and he is off by one degree then he might end up landing his aeroplane in a desert or in a sea. In a like manner, sins also put us off the course. If the pilot is 5 degrees off then where will he reach? This is the effect of sins as well.  We should also keep in mind that sins are our worst enemy.

پیر تیرا ہو اگرچہ لا ثانی

Peer tera ho agar che laa thaani

Even though there isn’t another Peer like the one you have in the world

If you have such a Peer that is the greatest Peer in the world, he is accepted by Allah c and by the people then too you will not reach your destination if you commit sins. This is extremely important.  A patient is a severe diabetic and being treated in hospital for his diabetes. He is the under supervision of the doctors as well the nurses that keep monitoring him yet his sugar level keeps increasing defying all their theories. It was then discovered that he is secretly eating chocolates at night under his blanket. This is the same effect of sins in not allowing one to reach his destination which is the love of Allah c.

فیض مرشد کی یہ کرامت ہے

Faiz-e-Mushid ki ye karaamat he

This is the miracle  of the blessings of the Sheikh

کوئی رومی ہے کوئی خاقانی

Koy Rumi he Koi Khaaqaani

Someone becomes a Rumi whilst another becomes Khaqaani

Through the blessings of the Sheikh someone has become Hadrat Rumi r whilst another has become Hadrat Khaaqaani r who were great saints of their time. We are fully aware of our condition but the Barkat of this chain is such that any person that will take Bay’at and reasonably follow his Sheikh will become Rumi and Khaaqaani. What was the condition of such people and how didn’t Allah c raise and elevate them.

مست رکھتی  ہے سارے عالم سے

Must raktie he sare aalam se

When a person gets this reality he is no longer worried of the world

He is not interested in the World Cup.  He stays away totally from rave parties, casinos, escort agencies, etc.  and he feels most comfortable when he is alone with Allah c on the Musallah. If the family is proceeding for a wedding then he remains behind. How many ladies do not want to attend weddings due to the difficulties they have to undergo such as sewing of new clothing, etc.

دل میں درد لذت پن ہانی

Dil me darde lazzate pinhaanie

In the heart is the enjoyment of the hidden love

This makes them independent of so many things in the world such as fashion, cars, cell phones, etc. Many of us are in the top league as far as Deen is concerned but at the same time we are in the same league as far as fashion is concerned. We wear the latest design Abayas, Kurtas, etc. but a person becomes independent of all this and finds the love of Allah c in his heart.

Allah c is the creator of love and the place of love is the heart. If Allah c places his love in that heart then what can be said of such a heart. Allah c has full control of the heart in which He can place hatred and various other things as well. However, when the love of Allah c is in the heart then one is independent of the entire world.

کیا حلاوت ہے اسکی جینے میں

Kiya halaawat he uskie jeene me

What enjoyment is there in his living

What is the enjoyment of the life of that person who got Jannat in this world? The person that safeguards his eyes, thoughts and mind from other women then Allah c gives him his Hur of Jannat in advance in this world.

جس کو ملتا ہے جام عرفانی

Jis ku milta he Jaam-e-Irfaani

The one who gets the goblet of the recognition of Allah c

The one that has recognised Allah c sees Allah c in all things. He recites the verse where Allah c mentions the Dua of the intelligent, “O Our Rabb! You have not created all this in vain.” In fact he recognises Allah c in all the things of the world. Such a person recognises Allah c from a leaf, an ant, an elephant, a crocodile, etc. The poet says,

اپنے ملنے کا پتا کوئی نشاں

 تو بتادے مجھکو ائے رب جہاں

Apne milne ka pata koi nishan,

too batade mujkoo e Rabb-e-Jahan

Is there any sign of Your address of Your meeting, Show it to me O Rabb of the world!

The sign and Qudrat of Allah c is in all things. Your brain which you are using is the sign of Allah. The eyes with which you see is the sign of Allah c. Your talking is the sign of Allah c as Allah c blessed you with the ability of talking. In everything one sees Allah c.  When he pulls his blanket on a cold night he recognises Allah c and when he looks at his wife he recognises Allah c and says, “O Allah! You blessed me with this wife which I did not deserve.” You blessed me with my Hur of Jannat in advance in the world.

Indeed wise is the woman that treats her husband like a king by serving as she will automatically become the queen if he is the king.  On the contrary, if she regards him to be a slave then she will be the wife of a slave, so such a woman is regarded as a foolish woman.

میر میرے دل شکستہ میں

Meer mere dil-e-shakasta me

O sir, in my broken heart

The heart is not broken because your lover has abandoned you in an illicit love affair but the heart is actually broken for breaking the Haraam desires.  Every person has the desire to commit sins but if he stays away from the sin then his heart is broken and Allah c is closest to a broken heart.

کیسی مستی ہے کیسی جولانی

Kaysie masti he kaysi jawlaani

What a trance and enjoyment does that person experience all the time

A person is connected to Allah whether sleeping, driving, lying down, etc.

رشک کرتا ہے اہل ساحل سب

Rashk karte he ahle saahil sab

All those on the shores envy him

All those that are in a comfort zone enjoying beautiful mansions, luxurious vehicles, etc. envy such a person as well.

دیکھ کر موج دل کی طغیانی کو

Dekh kar mowj-e-dil ki tughyani ko

By seeing the wild waves of the love of Allah that is in the heart

It can be clearly seen that this is an Allah Wala. The face translates that which is in the heart. If a person is upset then the worker, wife, children can easily make it out even before a person speaks. The happiness of a person is reflected in the face and eyes. Similarly, it can be noticed that certain person has Allah c in the heart. This love of Allah ccannot be concealed even though one may attempt to conceal it. The humbleness in their walking, standing, sitting, etc. can be easily noticed which indicates that a person has Allah c in the heart. Similarly, there are signs that indicate that a person is void of the love of Allah c.

رند پاتا ہے خانقاہ سے اپنے ایمان میں کیفیت احسانی

Rind paata he khanqah se apne imaan me kayfiyyat-e-Ihsani

An irreligious person finds in the Khanqah the condition of Ihsaan in his Imaan

There are those people that are living far away from the Khanqah yet derive benefit from the Khanqah and change their lives. We receive anonymous letters from people that are living in various parts of the world and they explain how they have changed their lives. Many write stating that they desire to change their lives and request assistance. How many of our friends have adopted humbleness in their lives! They are fully aware of their sins and admit to it. Some people are sinful yet they want others to think that they are pious.

One person had beautifully said that the sign of sincerity is that as one hides his sins, he should hide his good deeds. We conceal our sins and do not even mention it, yet we always talk of our good deeds. This is like a person that wants to take vitamin tablets but does not want to get rid of the cancer that he is affected with. The first priority is to get rid of the cancer and then utilise the vitamin tablets.    

Every person has Imaan in his heart. However when one establishes a connection with the friends of Allah and the Khanqah then one acquires the quality of Ihsaan in his Imaan. What is Ihsaan? It is that quality where a person sees Allah c and if one is unable to see Allah c then Allah c is watching him. Allah chas made it so easy to see Him. To see Allah c means that one should see the great Qudrat of Allah c. If a person looks at his watch he will recognise Allahc. How they had made the alarm, the modules, the metal, etc. A person says, “O Allah, I easily look at the time and date on my watch.” This is from none other than Allah c. In one’s talking, looking, etc. one recognises Allah c.

جب ملا ہے درد خون حسرت سے

Jab mila he dard khoon-e-hasrat se

When you got Allah c by experiencing the sorrow of your desires

When a person broke his Haraam desires or even discarded his Halaal desires then he gets Allah c.  Hadrat Ali h says,

عرفت ربى بفسخ العزائم

I recognised my Rabb by breaking of my determinations

The plan of a human being can only be fulfilled if Allah c wishes that it be fulfilled.  This is how Ali h recognised Allah c. It is only Allah c’s plans and decisions that are always fulfilled. Hadrat Ali explained this by means of an example, if you request a person to stand then he will stand. If he is requested to stand on one leg then too he will do so. If he is asked to pick up both feet from the ground then he is unable to do so. This makes one realise that it is only Allah c that does everything.

 

 

کیا کہوں اسکا ذوق ایمانی

Kiya kahoo iska zowq-e-Imaani

What can I tell you of his taste of Imaan

We have all performed our Esha Salaah next to each other. The person with this Imaan performs a Salaah far superior to the one who is void of such a condition even though the Masjid, Imaam, Qiraat, etc. is the same.

صحبت اہل دل کی برکت سے

Suhbat-e-Ahle dil ki barkat se

By the blessings of the companionship of the Ahle dil

دل میں اختر ہے کیسی تابانی

Dil me Akhtar he kaisee taabaanie

What splendour is there in their hearts

These people are now old but their hearts are young and filled with the love of Allah c which can be noticed from their actions. A person that is in love is busy watching his phone all the time as a message will come from the beloved. He doesn’t have time to sit, he is in a hurry to leave. He is always happy, mumbling to himself, singing something. Can we then imagine the love of Allahc? May Allah c bless us with the reality!
