Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam is reported to have said, "Whosoever provides Iftaari for a fasting person will be forgiven (of his sins), He will be granted emancipation from the fire of Jahannam, and he will receive the reward of the fasting person without any decrease in his reward." The Sahaaba (R.A) said, "O Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, we are not able to provide Iftaari for a fasting person (due to poverty)." Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Allah Ta'ala will grant this reward to a person that provides a date, or a sip of water, or a sip of milk."
