You’re are created for worship, remember

Prostrate to Allah not to treasures, remember

Or else there will be shame for you, remember

Life is for but a few days, remember

One day death will overtake,for the ultimate for you is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

You attained same position in this world.  So What?

Even if troves of treasures came to belong to you. So what?

 You have even built mansions of great luxury. So what?

Even if you throw around your weight and authority. So what?

One day death will overtake, for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

Ponder the  different types of homes which death did destroy

How many people’s fun, games, and enjoyment didn't death break.

How many of those with large and healthy bodies did death surprise.

And the thin and wiry, how many were placed into graves after demise.

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

Each of us are treading the alleys of annihilation

Each of our friends are heading towards evil annihilation

Rivers flowing in all directions are flowing to annihilation

From each and everything is emitted the stench of annihilation

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

This 'season of spring' in this world is but for a few days

Attach not your heart to it unmindful one, be not in a haze

Let not your days in this unmindful state pass

Be alert oh drowning one be alert, life doesn't last

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

This sea of unmindfulness, Alas! Is not for your kind

Look, Paradise is not cheap are you blind?

This world is a 'transit lounge',it is not your permanent destination

It is not a place for luxuries, extravagance, and mischievous inclination

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

Life gets shorter, like a melting block of ice, and then theres death

Slowly, slowly, drop by drop, breath by breath

Breaths, like this world, are  temporary, take heed  too

Suddenly one day, this breath will come to an end for you

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

This world you will have to leave, one day

The Qabr will be the end abode for you, one day

You WILL HAVE TO show your face to Allah, one day

Now do not be unmindful of this even for one day

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death

Do as you please, as the ultimate for you is death

For the Hereafter, do be concerned. It is a must

As you sow, so you shall reap, this is definite, do trust

This life will definitely come to pass one day, yourself do save

Your corpse will definitely have to descend into the grave

Who can ever stop whatever is destined, can you?

This life that you think is immortal will pass on too

Your soul will be pulled from your body, capillary, nerve and vein

One day sand will be thrown over you, be not insane

Stop your tomfoolery oh unmindful one, do not rest

Stop hoarding, and establishing a name, is merely a test

Remember Allah in this world morning and night

You have come here for a reason, so do what you do, do it right

One day death will overtake for the ultimate is death
