The Names of Surah Yasin and the Benefits of its Recitation

The following benefits of reciting Surah Yasin have been extracted from Ruhul Ma’aani pg. 208 Para 22.

 

اِنَّ لِکُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَلْبًا وَ قَلْبَ الْقُرْآنِ یٰسِیْن

In Abu Dawud, Nasai, Ibne Majah, Musnad Imam Ahmad and Tabrani, Hazrat Ma’qal ibne Yasar (Radhiallahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said, “Everything possesses a heart and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin.” (Mishkaat pg.187)

Hazrat Ayesha (Radhiallahu Anha) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has mentioned, “Surah Yasin, in the unseen realms by Allah Ta'ala, is ‘Azimah’ (great). The reciter of it is called Sharif (honorable) there. Its reciter will intercede on the Day of Judgment for so many people more than the tribes of Rabiah and Mudhar.   المعمة , المدافعة , القاضیة are also amongst the names of this Surah. (Ruhul Ma’aani)
